b. The current Chair remains Clive Husselbury.
3. Meetings
a. The Group meets 2 or 3 times per annum, usually 17.30 to 19.00 on a Tuesday or Wednesday; carries out occasional activities in support of the Practice, such as Patient Surveys, General Advice and External Communications, and also aims to hold and/or promote Health Awareness/Education events.
b. In addition, the Chair has attended various CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) meetings either in person or online – The CCG has now become the ICB/ICS.
4. Other Activities:
a. The Chair attends meetings in person or online with other local PPG Chairs to share ideas, experiences and best practice. These are facilitated by the CCG (now ICB/ICS) who also use them as a forum to pass on information and obtain feedback.
b. The Chair and PPG Members support CCG (now ICB/ICS) requests for information, input to initiatives, etc.
c. Two PPG Members have, over two visits to the Surgery, assembled 15 Office Chairs and other items of furniture.
d. A number of PPG Members have supported the Flu Clinics each year. The support has included Stewarding and Car Parking. During the peak Covid times we also took patients temperatures and asked them the general Covid questions to ensure that staff and other patients were not exposed to possible infection. This year we also supervised patients using the ‘Pod’ to measure their Height, Weight and Blood Pressure.
e. Three PPG Members attended the Practice Resilience PLT on 30th November 2022 to provide patient perspectives and ideas.
