To note that Suzi Wilson (SW) was obliged to resign from PPG as she is now employed in the admin team at COFP and thus is no longer a patient at COFP - Some of you will have seen her on Reception – We would like to record our thanks to her for her time on the PPG and wish her well in her new role.

4.3.2 We would like to record our sincere thanks to Runnymede Borough Council (RBC), Surrey County Council (SCC) and Councilor John Furey for their support and assistance in arranging and running this meeting.
5 Staffing & Practice Update (COFP, COCO PCN, NICS):
5.1 There are a number of Current vacancies including: GPs, Paramedic, Nurse/ANP, Admin
5.2 Two key members of staff had been on long-term sick leave, although both have now returned.
5.3 Problems with the Footfall website are ongoing and continue to cause major issues for patients and the practice/staff. Note that when it is ‘closed’ this may sometimes be due to these issues rather than the practice being at full capacity.
A new web site is being rolled out and should be live within 2 months now. The trials have gone well, but the roll-out by the ICB is much slower than hoped for. The new system is based on accurx, which is the system in use by COFP at the ‘back end’ to manage workflow and contact patients so everything should be more seamless.
5.4 In terms of the NHS/Government announcement in early May concerning improving patient access, it is noted that COFP already do all the things being proposed: The new telephone system was installed some time ago / Reception and Telephone Staff are trained as suggested and they do signpost to other services where appropriate / There has been an in-house Pharmacy Team, able to prescribe for some time. In addition, COFP and/or the PCN employs Nurses and Paramedics trained to prescribe.
Referral to Community Pharmacists for Prescribing is not currently possible due to the dire shortage in the local area of Pharmacists, particularly ones trained to prescribe.
5.5 There is currently no intention to recruit Physician Associates (PAs).
6. Key Area for focus (Update/Review)
6.1 Patient Access:
As already noted, the Footfall web site will switch to accurx which should mean a significant improvement.
LIVI Ended 31 March 2023
6.2 Patient Feedback/Level of Complaints/FFT: Circulated separately.
7. AOB
8. Date of next meeting
I will shortly circulate a date for a meeting that will be available both in-person at the surgery and online.
