Chaperones

Chaperones

The Practice is dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable environment and ensuring patients feel at ease. We strive to uphold best practices at all times.

  • Right to a Chaperone: All patients are entitled to have a chaperone present during any consultation, examination, or procedure. Clinicians will inform patients when a chaperone is necessary for intimate examinations to safeguard both the patient and the clinician.

  • Availability of Chaperones: If a chaperone is not available at the time of your appointment, the clinician will ask you to reschedule and request a chaperone for the new appointment.

  • Trained Staff: Our staff members have received appropriate training to act as chaperones and understand the examination or procedure you may be undergoing.

  • Personal Companions: You may bring a family member or friend to your consultation for support. However, they cannot act as chaperones as they do not possess the required knowledge or training.
