Important Information for Your 24-Hour Blood Pressure Monitoring Appointment

If you have been scheduled for a 24-hour blood pressure recording, please take note of the following instructions to ensure accurate readings:

• Clothing: Please wear a short-sleeved, loose-fitting top to allow easy access to your upper arm.
• During the Day: The monitor will automatically record your blood pressure every 30 minutes. When you feel the cuff inflating, remain still and keep your arm straight. If the monitor cannot obtain a reading, it may retry before the next scheduled interval.
• During the Night: The monitor will take readings every hour.
• Bathing/Showering: You will not be able to bathe or shower while the monitor is fitted.
