Appointments for seasonal flu vaccinations are now available for eligible patients.
Update on Flu vaccines for the over 65s
If you are aged 65 or over, or you are currently pregnant, or you suffer from one of the conditions listed below, you should have your flu vaccination every year:
Chronic respiratory disease, including asthma and COPD
An impaired immune system
The vaccine is free to all children who were 2 or 3 years old on August 31st 2018.
It is also free to children in Reception and Years 1 to 4 and is usually offered through the child's Primary School. We can provide the vaccination if your child has missed it at their school.
It is also free to all children over the age of 10 with a long-term health condition.
The children's flu vaccine is now usually given by nasal spray. Please note, the nasal vaccine does include pork gelatine. If your child has certain conditions, we will be able to offer an injection which does not include gelatine as an alternative.
