Flu vaccinations

Flu vaccination has finished at the health centre for this season, but local pharmacies may have some flu vaccines left.  Pharmacies normally charge for vaccination.

Seasonal flu vaccinations are available during the normal flu season free of charge to those who are eligible.

From October to January we run regular walk-in vaccination clinics at lunchtime

Eligible patients

If you are aged 65 or over, or you are currently pregnant, or you suffer from one of the conditions listed here, you should have your flu vaccination every year:

  • Diabetes
  • Kidney disease
  • Liver disease
  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
  • Chronic respiratory disease, including asthma

If you are in one of these groups, please do not wait to be invited to come in for vaccination:  if the walk-in clinics are running, please drop in to one of the lunchtime clinics.  If you cannot make it to a lunchtime clinic please make an appointment for your flu vaccination with one of our nurses.

We expect flu vaccination clinics to start in late September or early October. When we have more information it will be posted here, so please check back every now and then.
